The Waterford Assembly located in Waterford Guys Hill, St Catherine Jamaica West Indies, had its genesis when Pastor Norman H. Grant, while being a member of another church, sought to find ‘brighter light’. He then left that place of worship and began to hold prayer meetings in his house. Other persons in the community eventually became interested and joined with him at which time, a Sabbath School was formed.

It was indeed a delight to Pastor Grant when he reconnected with Pastor Waugh (a long-time friend in another church) who was now leading the Seventh Day Church of God (Reformed). Realizing that they were in agreement on some doctrinal points which he had questioned in his previous organisation, Pastor Grant and the little group came ‘safely into the fold’ and began to worship under the banner of the Seventh Day Church of God (Reformed).

In 1961, the first baptism was held and seven (7) individuals were immersed. The number grew significantly, and before long it became apparent that a Sanctuary was needed. In response to the need, Pastor Grant and his sister donated a parcel of land on which the present building was erected.

Under the leadership of Pastor Dellzer McKoy and Evangelist Gary Campbell, the church continues to prepare souls for God’s Kingdom.
